The Diversity of Exploitation: On the Critique of Dominant Antiracism - Paperback
by Eleonora Roldán Mendívil (Editor), Bafta Sarbo (Editor)
In Germany, a liberal concept of racism is advocated by anti-discrimination agencies and the radical left alike. The Diversity of Exploitation sets out to break this consensus.
The liberal discourse on racism rarely addresses the connection between class and race. But there exists a Marxist tradition of racism research which focuses on how these categories are related. The contributors in this collection seek to draw on that tradition. At the same time, the book offers a political intervention in the current debate on structural and institutional racism, whether in the labor market or in the police force. It presents alternatives to liberal antiracism by introducing a Marxist concept of racism in theory and practice.
Contributors include: Celia Bouali, Sebastian Friedrich, Christian Frings, Fabian Georgi, Lea Pilone, Daniele Puccio, Eleonora Roldán Mendívil, Bafta Sarbo, and Hannah Vögele.
