Pope Leo III, Charlemagne and the Tithe: The Code of Silence - Paperback
by Jonathan Kithcart (Author)
Pope Leo III and the crowning of Charlemagne on Christmas day (800 A.D.) eventually lead to the enforcement of the tithe in the Christian church. This heresy made it's way from Europe to America, where the 10% tithe was embraced by some of the churches and has been proclaimed as Christian doctrinal truth. This was not taught in the early churches, which was assembled in the homes of believers. None of these teachings came from the apostle Paul nor the first church council in Jerusalem. (Acts 15 and 21). Tithing system was proclaimed as doctrinal truth that was not taught in the early church by any of the apostles especially the apostle Paul who was sent to the Gentiles by Jesus Christ and the commandment of God the Father 1 Timothy 1:1 and 2 Timothy 1:11.
