God is not hiding, He is waiting. It takes courage, sometimes an enormous amount, to admit you have been wrong, especially if you have been wrong for a long time. All of us are prodigals at one time or another in our lives and with our relationships. We give up on God. He never gives up on us. We might look at our lives and say, ""Yeah, I know He forgives, butHe would never forgive me. Look at what I've done."" Well, He knows every beat of our hearts, every breath we take. He certainly knows the bad we've done and the good we've done. He's there, waiting.

Author Biography

Hugh F. X. McMahon grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Marquette University where he played Division 1 basketball. He played professionally in Finland. Afterward he worked for AT&T for twenty-nine years and retired in Texas. He is married to Bonnie and has four adult sons.
