This was followed by a long career as a missionary to Africa which included many years as a Bible translator and translations consultant. Later he served as a professor in a small Christian college in Montreat, NC. Along the way he met many fascinating people and had interesting experiences some of which were amusing and others that may be characterized as character building. He writes his story in order to give glory to God and thanks to the many people who helped him along the way.
